What Gets Sent to AI Services

When you use cloud AI scanning (optional feature), the message text is sent to an AI service (such as OpenAI or Google Gemini) for analysis. This is necessary to provide scam detection. The AI service processes the text but does not store it permanently.

Local Storage

ScamSniff stores scan history and settings locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Analytics

We may collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the extension. This does not include personal information or message content.
